What we dowith your details.
Families tell us painful things at the worst moment of their lives. This page sets out plainly what happens to anything you give us through this website — what we keep, for how long, and how to ask us to delete it.

Who we are
Sylva-Pat International Limited, 1–2 CMO Plaza, Regina Caeli Hospital Road, Awka, Anambra State, Nigeria. We are the data controller for the information described here. To reach us about anything on this page, call +234 803 668 1993 or email info@sylvapat.com.
What we collect, and only when you send it
This website does not ask you to make an account and does not track you around the internet. We hold information in just two situations.
When you use a form — a callback request, an enquiry or a quotation — we receive your name, your telephone number, and where you choose to give them, your email address, your town, how and when you would prefer to be contacted, and whatever you write in the message box. We use it to answer you. Nothing more.
When you leave a message of condolence on a tribute page, we receive the name and town you type and your message. These are read by a member of our team before anything appears on the site, and we may pass them to the family, which is the point of them.
Tributes and photographs
A tribute page is published only at the request of the family, with the details and the photograph they give us. We do not create one from a death notice or from anything we read elsewhere. If you are a family member and want a tribute changed or taken down, call us and we will do it the same day — we will not ask you to put it in writing first.
Who else sees it
We do not sell anything to anybody, and we do not pass your details to advertisers. Two companies handle data on our behalf because the website runs on their systems: our hosting provider, and the database service that stores tributes and messages of condolence. They process it on our instructions only. We may also share information where the law requires it.
Cookies
This site sets no advertising or analytics cookies, so there is no banner asking you to accept any. The only cookie we use is the one that keeps a member of our own staff signed in to the private admin area, and it is never set on a visitor's browser.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept while we are helping you and for a period afterwards, so that we can answer questions that come months later — families often ring back about a headstone or a memorial service. Records relating to work we have carried out are kept as long as the law and our insurers require. [CONFIRM the exact periods] A tribute page stays up until the family asks us to remove it.
Your rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 you may ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You may also object to how we are using it. Call or email us and we will deal with it — there is no form to fill in. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled it, you may complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
Changes to this page
If we change how any of this works, we will change this page and the date at the top of it.
